I wanted to know more about the history and culture and how the Windsor city in Ontario has a traditional and modern look to it. That is why I ventured on a three-day visit to Windsor and I need to tell you that I have returned to my hearts full. Some of the major attractions that should never be missed when visiting Windsor are given below.
- Art Gallery Of Windsor
This art gallery is in downtown Windsor and is located on a waterfront. If you are looking to find some of the finest and the most attractive collection of contemporary and historical arts of Canada, then this is the place to visit. The museum has three floors with works of regional, local, and national artists featured. I thoroughly enjoyed the works presented in the gallery.
I was blown away seeing the amazing and perfect wood carvings of the wildlife in this museum. You will find traditional, contemporary, and the historical wood carvings here. This is a big one-room museum that allows you to get a close encounter view of the carvings. Apart from this, there is also a gift shop here that offers tools, patterns, books, and carvings.
- Adventure Bay Family Water Park
It is not just museums and galleries that Windsor is famous for. It also hosts a 10,000 square meter water theme park that offers plenty of exciting rides and games of the children. It is a great spot to spend some quality time with family. If you have kids, then you should not miss this water park. The attractions here include water slides, lazy river, wave pool, and the surfing simulator. I was pretty impressed by the Python and it turned out to be the most attractive spot in the park. The Tot Loch offers the best attraction for the young kids.
